Add to that the fact that hard drives have now broken into the 16TB capacity values (with WD HGST talking about 18TB and 20TB in the background at the data center level) and a 2-Bay now brings almost as much to the table in storage potential as most standard 4-Bays. This is especially true in recent times with the growth of the applications in network storage (Plex Media Server, Surveillance, Virtual Machines, etc) all of which are becoming VERY attractive to consumers, big and small.
